Welcome
A land flowing with milk and honey?
We were having a discussion one Bridge CORE team about a passage in the bible. It talked about a promise that was made to a group of people that they would inherit a land that flowed with milk and honey. What developed next was fascinating because a couple of people had been watching a TV programme about the collapse of bees colonies in N America. Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/search/?q=Who%20Killed%20the%20Honey%20Bee%3f to watch the programme or for news see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7312358.stm
The reason for the collapse is multi faceted, on of them is a lack of habit, the way we have changed our landscapes has had a direct impact on the bees.
Without honey bees the human race will die within four years… four years from now is 2012…?
Einstein said that without bees life can’t exist because the plants won’t get pollinated, and that it would take four years. The Mayans predicted the world would end in 2012. This is creepy beyond belief, but Jesus said the end of the world would come but that he did not know when it would happen (Mark 13; 28-34).
To continue having a land that flows with milk and honey we will need bees. So,… get planting. We gave away free packets of seeds at the Bridge on Sunday 26th April. The seeds were all particularly known for attracting bees. We are doing our bit for the environment by planting, why not join us and plant some seeds. It won’t cost much and might make a big difference.

Jesus asks hard questions
Jesus overheard and said, “Why are you fussing because you forgot bread? Don’t you see the point of all this? Don’t you get it at all? Remember the five loaves I broke for the five thousand? How many baskets of leftovers did you pick up?”
They said, “Twelve.”
“And the seven loaves for the four thousand-how many [...]
