The Bridge is a series of community activities for all ages, communicating the Christian message through hospitality and via accessible, relaxed and informal settings.
We meet on Sunday afternoons for a presentation lasting about an hour, after which we share food and drinks. Usually we will all be together for the first 15-20 minutes of the evening’s presentation. The young people and children will then go to their own activities: a creche for the under 5s, and groups for 5-10 years old and 11-14 years old. During the presentation, there might be games, DVD clips, songs, prayers, drama, talks, stories, activities, etc. See the Sunday Presentation page for more details.
The Bridge was created partly because a lot of people identify with the statement “Like Jesus, but not the Church”. So, we try to do things differently, including “being church”.
Small groups are a great way for us to begin changing the way we see the world. Our small groups meet in people’s homes, pubs and at schools.
Or, if you want to try Jesus but are not into Church come and try Cease, Badminton or Men’s Moot.

There is an interesting debate at the moment about the sort of questions and discussions people are interested in when they talk with followers of Jesus. It seems they do not want explore the big questions of life but would rather ask “how do I live life?”
Go and have a read.
What do you think?
Research has shown that Methodists live, on average, seven years longer than the rest of the population.
Why do you think that might be?
Football players all over the world will have dreamt about getting to play in a team that reaches the world cup final. Sadly that dream has ended for all players apart from those in the two teams left to play tonight’s final. Their dreams will have been shattered.
