North Warwickshire & Hinckley College Update
I’d just like to take this opportunity to provide you with an update college wise. I shared at the last Core Team meeting about a possible future partnership with the Chaplaincy Team and things have since progressed in this area at a rapid rate. I met with Naomi Nixon (Chaplain) on the Thursday before half term to talk some ideas through and by the end of that same meeting I came away with two chaplaincy t-shirts and a start date!
On Tuesday 23rd February I started the role of Assistant Chaplain. I will be paid by the college directly for the four hours a week I’ll be doing and these hours will be in addition to the 20 I’m already doing for the Bridge. Having said that though, when I’m working at the college I’ll still be firmly wearing my Bridge Youth Worker hat!
I know Tim has often said that God is a 3 mile an hour God, but my experience of Him at the moment is more like 10! It’s all good though and incredibly exciting. I’ll fill you in on the detail of exactly what being Assistant Chaplain is another time, but for now I’d really appreciate your prayers as I attempt to settle into this new role and find my feet.

December’s Mingle
Time: Sunday, 06 December 2009 11:30 - 2:30pm
Location: Three family homes within the Bridge community - see invite for specific addresses.
Please bring with you £3 towards the cost of the food plus your £1 Secret Santa present. Your named person will be revealed to you shortly after having booked your place so you can get thinking about what to buy them!

November’s Mingle
The second Mingle took place on Sunday 1st November at Hastings High School for an Interactive Games Morning and a great time was had by all who joined us. I’m currently planning December’s activity so watch this space for more details nearer the time!

Mingle - November 2009
The next Mingle is set to take place on Sunday 1st November at Hastings High School from 10.00 - 12.00pm. If you’re free and would like to come along, then all you need to do is let Joy Hatfield know by Friday 30th October at the latest.
As November’s Mingle is an Interactive Games Morning, do feel free to bring along your favourite game for others to try. This could be anything from a board or card game that you really like playing to the latest Nintendo Wii game, of which there will be several Wii consoles already set up on big screens for your enjoyment! Part way through the morning we will be serving refreshments, so if you’d like to join us for a drink and snack as well then please bring £1.00 with you to help us cover our costs.
