Someone has written a book called “They like Jesus but not the Church”. There are many who could identify with that statement. Someone was reflecting in a very similar way over around 1995 and it is partly why The Bridge was brought into being. So, we do try and do things differently, we try to do and be church differently. It is not for everyone, but for some it ‘works’. If you like it is part of our culture, it is the way we do things around here, it is our DNA. Sometimes we get it wrong but we usually have a lot of fun trying!
So if you want to try Jesus but are not into Church come and try Cease, Badminton or Men’s Moot.

There is an interesting debate at the moment about the sort of questions and discussions people are interested in when they talk with followers of Jesus. It seems they do not want explore the big questions of life but would rather ask “how do I live life?”
Go and have a read.
What do you think?
Research has shown that Methodists live, on average, seven years longer than the rest of the population.
Why do you think that might be?
Football players all over the world will have dreamt about getting to play in a team that reaches the world cup final. Sadly that dream has ended for all players apart from those in the two teams left to play tonight’s final. Their dreams will have been shattered.
